05/10/2014 - Congratulations to our County Intermediate Football Champions. 2014

The senior footballers are Intermediate Football Champions following a dramatic victory against Slaughtmanus in Sunday’s Final at Owenbeg. The strong diagonal wind made scoring difficult and St Malachy’s greater accuracy proved decisive. Having established a six point lead early in the second half, the boys in white had to defend to the end as the north Derry side gradually narrowed the lead to a minimum. 04/10/2014 - Music classes begin Saturday 18th October

Music classes begin on Saturday the 18th of October from 11-12.30pm and will run until the 6th of December. There will be classes in the following instruments: Tin whistle, Bodhrán, Guitar, Mandolin, fiddle and flute catering for all from beginners to advanced levels. Pupils can learn 2 different instruments per week. Registration in the club on Saturday the 11th of October between 11am – 12.30pm. For further information contact Paul Gribbin 07921253293.

15/09/2014 - Defibrillator training Wednesday 15th October

The Club’s defibrillator is at the well of the internal staircase near the door to the Home team changing room. We’re offering defibrillator training on Wednesday 15th October at 7.30. All members and coaches are encouraged to avail of training for this potentially life-saving service, interested parties should contact Cathryn McOscar.

15/09/2014 - Seamus Heaney Commemorative Stamp issued

The Seamus Heaney Commemorative Stamp issued by the Irish Republic's mail service An Post features a black and white portrait of the Nobel laureate. A specially commissioned envelope is also on sale inscribed with an extract of Heaney's 1969 poem Bogland. Both the stamps and envelopes can be viewed and purchased at all main post offices, at the GPO Stamp Shop in Dublin's O'Connell Street and online at irishstamps.ie.

03/09/2014 - St Malachy's Under 14 footballers are Champions

Congratulations to St Malachy's Under 14 footballers who are Champions having achieved a fine victory in the Final at Owenbeg where they defeated Slaughtmanus by 3-12 to 1-6. The boys have signed of on a successful season with Feile, League and Championship trophies in the cabinet. Well done to the lads and their management.
