ST MALACHY’S G.A.C CASTLEDAWSON
Club Tracksuit & Jackets
The deadline on orders for Christmas delivery of the new O’Neill’s club Tracksuit and Rain Jacket has been extended for one more week to ensure that everyone is catered for and no-one is disappointed; last orders will be taken on Sunday 13th October between 11.00am and 12.30pm and after that the book will be closed. Both items are available in kids sizes age 5/6 to 13/14 years and adult sizes S – XXL and we would ask all orders be paid for at time of order. Further details if required from Anthony Brown, Maura McAuley or Mark Chesney.
Lotto
Numbers drawn in the weekly Lotto on Monday 6th October 2008 were 7, 17, 18 & 22. As there was no winner, the Lucky Dips went to Rosemary O’Kane and Kathy Bradley. Kathy has decided to purchase a new whip for the forthcoming Night At The Races. The jackpot for next week stands at £3800; and for just a £1, a nice wee sum it is for anyone to win on the run up to Christmas, so please keep buying and selling!!
Important Notice
An important reminder to all members who use the club changing rooms – in your absence during training/matches please do not leave valuables of any kind in clothes or kit bags. Recently, ticket draw money collected by a senior player and thought to be safe in his jeans pocket went missing. This is a serious situation and if we should have a thief in our midst then it is the responsibility of us all to be vigilant and keep temptation to the minimum.
Replica Jersies
There are still a number of replica jersies for sale at the very reasonable price of £25. Anyone interested can contact Antony Brown on 07977 460775. Available sizes as follows;- Ages 5-6(6 left), Ages 7-8(4 left), Ages 9-10(1 left) & Ages 13-14(1 left).
Poker Night
The Club are running a Poker Night every first Friday of the month, so make sure and mark it down in your calender. Next one is scheduled for Friday 7th November, so come down and chance your luck!
Camogie
Underage : Training for the Under 12’s continues every Wednesday at 6pm.
Training for Primary 7, U14s & U16s continues every Wednesday & Friday evening from 5.30pm until 6.45pm. Everyone available needs to attend.
Senior : How's your luck on the horses? Do you like the odd flutter but cant wait until the Grand National? Well why not come along to Moyola Park Golf Club this Saturday night (11th October, 2008) where Castledawson Camogie Club are offering all the atmosphere and comfort of an executive box at Ascot with all the fun and thrill of the races!
Guests will be able to have a wager on a series of races, each featuring ten horses. All horses have already been snapped up and the "owner" of each horse will have to step up to race their wooden horse (attached to the end of a piece of rope - all will be revealed on the night!) against the opposition. The event kicks off at 7.30pm and all horse owners must be there on time, as otherwise someone else will be asked to take their place.
Bets can be placed on the outcome of the races, just as you would at a racecourse or in the bookies, so if your nag romps home you're in the money! Prizes of £25 will be awarded to the "owners" of each winning horse. The night is sure to provide plenty of fun and entertainment and is therefore one not to be missed. The Camogs will all be in attendance (including Sinead "AP McCoy" Heaney and Una "Franki Dettori" McAuley) and are appealing for the support of St Malachys footballers, members and friends to make the fundraiser a success. So gather your family, friends and jodphurs and get yourselves down to the Golf Club this Saturday.
... and they're off!
Clothing Bank : there will now be a clothing bank located inside the club car park. All textiles, such as sheets, curtains, clothes, shoes, belts and bags may be put in, but must be clean and dry. The car park can be accessed at all times. This is now a permanent feature and can be used by anyone.
Notice
The committee would like to remind everyone that dogs are not allowed on to either of the pitches at any time. Also, all dog litter to be 'cleaned up' from around the pitch by the owner - no excuses.
